Want to know how much a custom hull is going to cost? Consult the table below to figure out the price of your particular project. For hulls in a scale of 1/350th and smaller please e-mail us for a quote. Note all hulls in larger scale than 1/350th scale smaller than 47" use the base figure of $207 dollars. All of our pricing is broken down to the scale inch. As soon as you have figured out how many inches long your ship will be apply the multiplier below and then add 15% for shipping and handling in the United States.
** Note: All hulls longer than 77" are too large to ship via UPS or United States Mail. These orders will have to be shipped via Common Carrier at the customers expense. All orders wil be shipped F.O.B. from Michigan to the end user. Example: Lets say you want to build a Batch 42 destroyer of the H.M.S. Liverpool in 1/78th scale (Yes I know its a crazy scale but it's just an example.). The ship has an overall length of 410ft and a beam of 47ft. To scale the hull down to 1/78th we need to convert 1/78th to a decimal equivalent. We do this by dividing 12 by 78. This gives us a decimal of .153. We take that .153 and multiply it by 410ft to come up with the scale length of the ship. 63.07" long Then multiply .153 by 47 to get the scale width of the ship. 7.191" long Refer to the above chart and find the closest match in the column for length and beam. In this case we'll use the first row multiplier of: $4.65 x (Scale length) 63.07" = $293.27 Take that final number and multiply it by .15 this will give you cost for shipping and handling. Always round up to the nearest dollar amount and add that to arrive at your final cost. 293.27 x .15 = 43.99.......rounded up to $44 dollars S & H Final cost: $337.27
Due to customer cancellations during orders we now require a signed contract with every order. It is unfortunate we have to resort to these means but we cannot absorb the cost once an order is started and a customer cancels due to their impatience. Custom orders can take as long as 6 months to deliver. These charges are only good for the lower 48 states. All returned items subject to a 50% restocking fee. |
